Our approach
Movement, dance and psychotherapy
Our work begins with the body. Through movement, dance and psychotherapy, we explore the patterns, protective strategies and relational habits that shape the way we feel, move and connect with others.
Why the body?
The body often reveals what the mind has learned to hide.
Habitual patterns do not appear only in thoughts or relationships. They can also be seen in the way we move, take space, respond to difficulty, express ourselves and meet other people.
Effort
How do we respond when something becomes difficult? Do we push, collapse, avoid, control or persist?
Space
How much space do we allow ourselves to occupy, and how do we react when others come close?
Expression
What becomes visible when we move beyond familiar roles, restraint and self-monitoring?
Being seen
How do we experience attention, exposure, comparison and the gaze of other people?
Relationship
What happens when we lead, follow, depend on, resist or move alongside someone else?
Protection
The body can show the strategies we use to protect ourselves, maintain control or avoid vulnerability.
The body gives us another way of observing the patterns that shape our experience.
From movement to understanding
Movement becomes a way of observing yourself.
The process moves between physical experience, therapeutic exploration and integration.
01
Movement
Through movement and dance, habitual responses can become visible in the body and in relationship.
02
Exploration
Psychotherapy helps us examine what these reactions may protect, where they come from and how they shape our lives.
03
Integration
We return to the body and the present experience, allowing awareness to become something lived rather than only understood.
The aim is not simply to understand a pattern, but to experience what becomes possible when it is no longer automatic.
No fixed interpretation
We observe before we interpret.
A movement, hesitation or physical reaction does not have one universal meaning. We do not treat the body as a symbolic code to be decoded from the outside.
Observe
We begin with what is actually happening: movement, sensation, emotion, resistance, rhythm and relationship.
Explore
Questions and psychotherapy help the person make connections with their own history, experience and relational patterns.
Meaning emerges
The meaning does not belong to the therapist. It develops through the person’s own experience, associations and awareness.
The body is not a code to decipher. It is a place from which experience can be observed, felt and understood.
From awareness to choice
Awareness creates the possibility of choice.
We do not try to eliminate protective strategies. We explore what they protect, whether they are still necessary, and what becomes possible when they are no longer automatic.
When a pattern becomes conscious, there can be more space for freedom, responsibility and a different response.
From understanding
to lived experience.
La Línea Roja retreats create a space where this process can be explored over time, through movement, dance, therapeutic group work and integration.
The intention is not to produce a particular result, but to create the conditions in which what is usually automatic can become more visible, more understandable and more conscious.
